It's been a third of a year with our Finn Edward! He's continuing to trend tall, coming in at the 90th percentile for hight (26.5 inches) and 50th for weight (15 lbs. 13 oz.). The doctor used the words "big" and "strong" 😊 Finn is wearing size 6-9 month clothing and is barely still in size 2 diapers. New this month: we're rolling back to front and front to back!
Sleep and overall screaming has improved so much - there was a time when, if he was awake, he was screaming 😳 Now we're getting giggles and smiles, though he's still super high maintenance and so not a napper (we'll get a few decent 1-2 hour naps a week and that's it). He's also still waking up at least twice a night to eat (which means Mama is still hot mess express, Dada does much better with no sleep, ha ha).
Finn loves to watch everything big brother does, and the adoration is mutual. Parker's first order of business after school each day is always to play with Finn!
Although we've been going to our community pool since Finn was born, this month he actually got in the pool for the first time! He's generally a picky baby, but he does pretty well in the water.
My favorite little Finn moments are when he's waking up and he stretches his arms way, way up (and sometimes his legs, too.) It just melts my mama heart. Finn found his voice this month - we says he sounds like a pterodactyl (or, you know, what we imagine a pterodactyl would sound like).
Finn's also become a drool machine, which I think means he's teething? He seems way too young for this, but all of a sudden he's all about chewing on everything so Sophie has become his new best bud.
This sweet guy is such an angel baby when he sleeps (though these naps were all probably 5-10 minutes, ha!).
Not too young! My son had 4 teeth at 4 months old!
ReplyDeleteSweet boy! I can't believe he's already four months old!! Hopefully he'll get into a better sleep pattern in the next couple of months. Neither of our babies were good sleepers until at least six months. I love seeing all of these precious pictures!
