Our Thanksgiving started bright and early with the Huntsville Turkey Trot. This was our third year racing, and I love feeling like I "earn" that big Thanksgiving meal later in the day!
The race is always followed by the Thanksgiving Day parade (Max brings down the monitor from his office and we stream it since we don't have an actual television in the house - but we do love to make exceptions for special events like this!).
We were so happy to host Parker's Gigi and Aunt Mimi and Uncle Ian. We took the opportunity to grab a few family portraits using Max's tripod - the fall leaves were in their full glory in the front yard!
Another tradition we love? The color-your-own Thanksgiving tablecloth we put on the breakfast table!
Double dessert was a requisite for me since I'm eating for two...
And the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit - bundling up for the Huntsville Botanical Garden's Galaxy of Lights walking night!
It's officially the most wonderful time of the year!
