Christmas-ing

We spent the hight of this holiday season in London, and I just can't wait to write all about it! The energy, the sights... the accents! 😍 But we were back in Alabama just in time for Christmas at home.

My favorite Christmas cocktail: (for each flute) two sugar cubes, juice from half a lemon, 2 oz. of gin (we like Hendricks) and top with champagne! I do fresh pomegranate seeds for the garnish - they'll dance up and down with all the bubbles - it's Parker's favorite part! We even put some pomegranate seeds in his sparkling cider 😊 Like whole fresh cranberries, they're stunning in the glasses, but you can actually eat them!

We were lucky to catch "Father Christmas" while we were in the U.K. - just look at that hood! Parker was all business, and sat right down to read his Christmas list that he had written down at dinner the night before (and shared with the diners next to us who were smitten with his sweet American accent!). Parker asked for a red bicycle, a batting helmet, Operation the game and a bath bomb. Oh the sweetness.

Parker wrote several letters to Santa over the course of the month, one being: "Santa, I'm a good boy. Love, Parker" 💖 I die. So of course Santa brought every single item Parker asked for and Christmas morning was nothing short of magical over here, y'all!

Hanging new ornaments on Christmas morning before breakfasting! I made both a sweet and a savory casserole the day before, and just popped them in the oven right before we started opening gifts. Plus, orange segments and more pomegranate seeds, because #december.

Find the recipe for the French Toast Bake here - it's a Pioneer Woman recipe, and it's one of our favorites!

Opening presents pretty much lasted all day, because with each gift our little guy wanted to open/play with/put together whatever it was!

Parker had left little notes for his Dada to make sure there was no early opening 😉

Obligatory family pic - our little party of three!

Merry Christmas 2017!
