Happy first Friday of September!

Who else rang in the new month with a Pumpkin Spice Latte yesterday?? So #basic. So good.

My Pure Barre Platform tips were featured here this week as a guest blogger post :) Platform is definitely the best cardio class I've ever taken! Love it.

I posted Diary of a Smoothie Bowl earlier this week with my favorite smoothie bowl recipes. I loved hearing how so many of you are smoothie bowl obsessed, too!

This was Parker's third week of preschool! My, how the time flies. His school is on social media and also does a newsletter, and I just adore getting glimpses into his days of learning.
Speaking of school, Parker brought his teachers these little Happy September gifts yesterday. I know Apple Month is technically in October, but September seems apple-y as well, right? As a former teacher, I often get asked for teacher gift ideas. I always answer the same way - just give things you would appreciate getting. Bath and Body Works hand soap? Yep, I'd take one of these all day every day :)

This week marked seven years of marriage for Max and me! Due to fevers (both mine and Sweet P's) our fancy dinner out was postponed and replaced with pajamas and soup, but we still did cards and gifts. Year seven is copper, so Max gave me copper frames with family photos (and the gorgeous red roses below) and I gifted him copper Moscow Mule Mugs that I had engraved.
Does anyone else out there do "traditional" gifts for wedding anniversaries? I love it so much - it both helps me pick something for husby (who's notoriously difficult to shop for) and forces me to be creative at the same time. So much fun!
I am so jealous of your PSL! I couldn't seem to find one in our area yesterday but am on the hunt again today! :) Love the apple gifts for the teachers! So cute!

It's my first year being the teacher gift giver instead of receiver, ha!
DeleteGaaaah you're so lucky to have had a PSL!! They weren't available here yet when I tried the other day. I need to go back now that it's actually September. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI love that you gave your hubs some Moscow Mule mugs for your anni... I just gave my hubs some for Father's Day! Such a perfect gift for our guys!
I just stocked up on ginger beer :) Hoping you got your PSL!
DeleteI love your gift ideas for 7 years. I may have to follow suit once I get there. Yay for a PSL. I want one and plan to get one today!!! I hope that you do get to do that fancy dinner now that you are feeling better. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWell, year seven was either copper or WOOL, lol...
DeleteWe do traditional gifts and I love looking for fun ways to tie in that year's theme. Sometimes it's not easy for him but I've been doing well :)
ReplyDeleteWe've been doing it from the beginning! One year we went with the modern gift (appliances) and bought a fancy new dishwasher for the kitchen. I've never felt so grown-up :)
DeleteHappy seven years to you guys!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to get a PSL. I can’t wait! I love the Happy September gifts you sent. Such a great idea! Happy seven years! Hope you guys get to reschedule soon!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thank you! It's my first year to do the giving of teacher gifts and I think I'll do a little something each month - I just love it :) Lol about the dinner reschedule - I did make another reservation and husby came down with a fever the same day. We are just not meant to celebrate "lucky" number seven! Hoping you got your PSL :)
